What is Miyawaki forest ?

Miyawaki forest, is a method of planting trees that was developed by Japanese botanist Dr. Akira Miyawaki. The method involves planting a large number of native trees in a small area, with the aim of creating a dense, multi-layered forest that grows quickly and provides numerous environmental benefits. The Miyawaki method involves planting trees that are native to a particular area in a densely packed configuration, often at a rate of 4-5 trees per square meter. By planting a variety of species, the resulting forest is highly diverse, with a multi-layered canopy and a variety of undergrowth plants.

The Miyawaki method is designed to create forests that grow quickly and provide a range of benefits, including carbon sequestration, improved soil quality, and increased biodiversity. These forests are also highly resilient, as the dense canopy helps to retain moisture and prevent soil erosion, while the diverse range of species makes the forest more resistant to pests and diseaases. The Miyawaki method has been successfully used in various parts of the world, including India, Brazil, and Indonesia, and is gaining popularity as a sustainable and effective way to combat deforestation and promote environmental conservation.

Hence we are promoting and implementing this technique for quick results.
